Weld County, Colorado, United States. The United States Census Bureau
estimates that the city population was 28,013 in 2005. Brighton is the
County Seat of Adams County.

There were 6,990 housing units at an average density of 158.0/km (409.3/mi). The racial makeup of the city was 76.91% White, 0.99% African American, 1.47% Native American, 1.10% Asian, 0.04% Pacific Islander, 16.29% from other races, and 3.20% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 38.22% of the population.
